This is 100% incorrect.  Blacks do have a higher tendency to commit crime.  It is not related to poverty, it is due to black culture.  The reality is, the majority of black youths, celebrate thug life.  Black youths are ostracized by their fellow black classmates, for trying to get an education and better themselves.  Black poverty levels have actually decreased over time, yet crime rates have increased.

A young father was gunned down Friday evening (July 21) in a parking lot at the New Orleans East apartment complex where he lived with his girlfriend and his small children, including a daughter born one month ago, his girlfriend said.

Keishonna Allen, the victim's girlfriend, said she and her boyfriend, whom she identified only as Devan, had two children together: a 2-year-old boy and the 1-month-old girl. She said he also had a 4-year-old child. The victim was in his early to mid-20s, according to police.
