I'm seriously considering investing $4,000 into some cryptocurrency. Suggestions?

What percentage of the population is even invested? We're still below the ground floor? ???

Honestly? I wouldn't touch cryptos until BTC goes above 17k again. If it does. Too much happitty-uppitty bullshit going on.

The US government will eventually step in and bring the freak show down under its control. And yes, the US government can DO that, regardless of how much the maximalist like to think of it being unconfiscatable. Bull shit.

Sitting in xrp and ada is delusional. They were last cycles coins.Crypto isnt being used and is solely a fuel for speculation.New and shiny wins the race, not holding multi billion marketcap coins that already made their money.

Your crazy, xrp has so many use cases it’s ridiculous.Xrp will be the standard. The next bull run will blow the last one out of the water and xrp will be number one.the other coins coming out are shitcoins.

If anything the Chinese government will shut bitcoin down as the Chinese control it but the government is going to be all crypto eventually so best to have some when they do.

Lol, you are advocating buying high. The time to buy is now if you are going to buy, not when btc has shot up 5x.This is exactly how everyone lost their money in december 2017.What you look for is a trend reversal, breaking 6k would be the indicator if you really wanted to play it ultra safe, not 17k.

Delusional. No bank is going to use some cryptocurrency when they can just make their own blockchain and use that, without the need of a currency tacked on top of it.Jpmorgan just did exactly this.Ripple is what, 8-9 years old, and used by exactly zero banks.Cryptocurrency is a massive meme, its just an excuse to speculate on something, it could be rocks, or trading cards. Its all about hype, selling bags to the greater fool, then buying the next hyped coin.Blockchain is just a secure database basically, you can make your own blockchain now with a few clicks.

Its simple, buy low, sell high. For you to win, the majority have to lose.Trading is a zero sum game, there is always a loser in the trade. The majority of traders and buyers lose, mainly because of the logic in this thread. You have robcguns advocating buying crypto that has already gone 100x plus and has a marketcap in the billions , and the other guy advocating buying bitcoin when its already gone 4-5 x from its current value. The secret is to buy at the bottom when nobody wants to buy.Problem is people only want to buy when everyone is talking about it and its already risen, ironically thats always the time to sell.Trading is all psychology, your mind literally wants you to fuckup and you have to go against it.

Dude, BTC is going below $1,000 soon and it will stay around 3k again for a while.

Institutional money isn't coming into the space until there's a clearer sense of crypto's functionality. Case and point: Fidelity was ready to launch a crypto depot to act as custodian and broker for anyone wanting in. The project has now been postponed until further notice. Same with WF's.

See a pattern?

I honestly think it's WAY too early yet. Like internet back in the early 90s.

Thats why i said id wait for it to cross 6k.1k is possible.Problem with crypto is 95% of the volume is faked, its really only a few whales controlling the market.Doing any kind of technical analysis is a waste of time in a market where one guy can decide one day to tank the price of the whole market. The bigger problem is cryptocurrency is a useless pile of shit, there is no need for the currency part in 99% of cases. The distrubuted ledger technology part left is great and can really transform the world, but it doesnt need currencies tacked on top of it and a market tacked on top of that. Its akin to having a market for tcp/ip protocol.Makes no sense.

The J.P. Morgan coin is useless.Useless,it can only be used in there banking system.Very pointless.Ripple is used by many banks.santander uses x current constantly.

Bitcoin will never see 1000 again and if it does I would buy many.It is very early stages so buy and put away on a nano ledger and a few years down the road you will be happy.

If BTC goes below 1k, believe me, you do not want to be in there.

Even the BTC pumpers have said publicly they's get out under 1k.

Yes Sir.  Hit 5k on coinbase. Also Altcoins rallying.  We'll see if it can support these new numbers.  Great news.  Bull Market well overdue.

An 80mill$ wall was liquidated on exchange, absolutely smashed it.

26% in one hour. I’ve never witnessed anything like it. I’m optimistic but my realistic side is telling me we really have to break 5200k to form a strong resitance above 4600. I still think we are in accumulation stage, historical data indicates a similar scenario to 2015.

When the real bull market begins it will be paralytic, similar to dec 2017.

Of course, there is always a risk. But if you really want to invest in cryptocurrency, it is better to check forecasts. Also I can recommend to look through the cryptocurrency reviews on Revain. People share their experience in using different currencies and it is possible to find out the ratings there. Speaking about the choice of the coins, I would wait several months and invest in Bitcoin. According to the latest forecasts, the price will increase again in 2020.

If you are of the belief that BTC has bottomed, by all means, put your cock on the chopping block and go all in.

Well, a sub 1k BTC would be so cheap that every miner would stop mining it. Hence it will become insanely cheap for the hack attacks to go up exponentially by the microsecond.

Once under 1k, you better pray to God no one is able to hack it, although the laws of probability are against you. If we get to 1k, when BTC gets hacked, the cryptos story will end in a microsecond and billions of dollars will disappear in a microsecond. You will get up one morning and your account balance will be 0.

Regardless of whatever cryptologists tell you, their random code generators aren't random at all. They will swear on their dead mothers tombstone they are random but... programmers know NOTHING in nature is random. Their hashes have a certain frequency to them. It's unnoticeable to the untrained eye, but they're there. And with quantum computers it will only get easier to backtrack into people's codes.

If any of you guys want to get your feet wet and gets some free crypto airdropped to you, this is a good way to start. This isnt a goodrum scam, Airdrops in crypto can end up making you thousands, teams send out free tokens that end up being worth a shitload. The airdrop below is for a coin that is going to be the first on binances new decentralised exchange in a week, currently worth 20 cents a coin but should rocket within the week on the build up to binances decentralised exchange. One of the few times in life a few minutes work can net you hundreds or even thousands, the ontology airdrop made thousands for the people who were lucky enough to hear about it.The wallet below and coin are partnered with binance, that should tell you all how big this could be.

 1. Download  ATOMIC WALLET https://atomicwallet.io/#download
2.Create wallet
3.Go to settings then click AIRDROP
4. Paste this code  YSTH5
5.check your email for the validation link, might get sent to spam
6. receive free AWC tokens

the coin currently https://idex.market/eth/awc

The biggest saving grace for BTC is that it uses hashes of public keys instead of the keys themselves.  This, by itself, adds an extremely high degree of quantum-resistance to the BTC network.  Other places where QCs might cause disruption are only purely theoretical, and could take decades for the technology to develop to the level needed to actually execute the attacks.  So, if any of this is ever going to happen, we will see it coming, potentially decades in advance and can prepare accordingly.

I'm sure that Bitcoin can help to earn money. Personally I invested in this cryptocurrency and haven't regretted my choice. If you still have doubts, it is possible to check forecasts and CryptoLinks in order to find out more about Bitcoin and to stay up to date with the latest events. Speaking about other currencies, I haven't tried them, but maybe I'm too suspicious or afraid of losing money. Frankly speaking, I don't know people who really make money on different currencies, except for Bitcoin, of course.
