Well, a sub 1k BTC would be so cheap that every miner would stop mining it. Hence it will become insanely cheap for the hack attacks to go up exponentially by the microsecond.
Once under 1k, you better pray to God no one is able to hack it, although the laws of probability are against you. If we get to 1k, when BTC gets hacked, the cryptos story will end in a microsecond and billions of dollars will disappear in a microsecond. You will get up one morning and your account balance will be 0.
Regardless of whatever cryptologists tell you, their random code generators aren't random at all. They will swear on their dead mothers tombstone they are random but... programmers know NOTHING in nature is random. Their hashes have a certain frequency to them. It's unnoticeable to the untrained eye, but they're there. And with quantum computers it will only get easier to backtrack into people's codes.
