getting dizzy 3 hours after meals...
« on: April 07, 2006, 09:54:19 AM »
I  just about tripled the amount of calories and carbs I've been taking in the past week. I'm also eating 1g protein per lb body weight every day, but didn't do so before. I'm training much harder but I still have to figure out what I'm going to do on what days since this is my first "official" week of training hardcore. The past week or so I have been getting light-headed/dizzy about 3 hours after a meal. I AM force-feeding myself so I haven't quite gotten used to consuming food every 3 hours or so, but I do have a high metabolism and I notice that I am hungry pretty soon after a medium sized meal. I have really low blood pressure. I don't know if that means anything. I've gotten dizzy before from consuming too MUCH food at once or drinking one of those 2500 calorie weight gainers in one sitting, but maybe someone could shed some light on this situation.
P.R.: ate four lbs p-butter in 3 days

Try mixing 1TB of cinnamon into some black tea.  Its a great blood sugar moderator and may prevent your insulin spike, assuming that's the source of the dizziness.  You may also want to try a more gradual escalation of your calories/protein consumption.  Your body is likely in a state of shock.
