The argument about Asians has merit, but the problem with it is that one would probably have to go to war with them to end it. Economic sanctions might seem like something that could help, but it would just drag the trade in it underground. Asia is half a World away.

Dog fighting is a repeated, very personal, form of cruelty that should be given no quarter in a civilized society.  You have to wonder about the psyche of a person that can drag a dog (that they usually claim to love) multiple times into a ring to be ripped apart. There's no way that doesn't transfer into other areas of their life.
