so this latest movie from everybodys genius christopher nolan is getting some crazy good reviews.

8.7/10 imdb

but media is even crazier for it 94 metascore.

but i dont know man, im not sold. ive seen the trailer, it seems depressing. im sure there's a few action scenes now and then thats breathtaking but thats about it. it's pg-13.

It looks very pg, all effect no substance. I expect an epic war film to have to brutality, blood and gore of saving private Ryan and hacksaw ridge, I wanna see limbs hanging off

I saw it. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're into cinematography and the such.

It is very depressing, had to leave half way because GF said it was boring and depressing. I would have told her to suck it up, but the movie was sucking anyway. There is very little acting in the movie, almost like watching a movie on mute.... with sounds effects.
Plus I have to wear a stupid back warp thing when I go out for a more few months, looks like I'm going to do squats in the movie.

I saw it on the weekend.  The movie itself is like an extended trailer.  Zero character development, minimal dialogue. Things move along in a non-linear fashion like Pulp Fiction, where you're constantly shifting from different prospectives and different timelines. The way it's filmed it feels more like a History Channel movie than something you'd see at a movie theater.  Sound effects are very overpowering, but the cinematography was really well done. My favorite scenes being the one's from the Spitfire pilots prospective.  The musical score and loud sound effects will rattle the seats, and will get on your nerves rather quickly, so be warned.

Just like anything involving Operation Barbarossa, this is also a movie that signaled the beginning of the end. And not just for The Reich, but for Western Society in general. We peaked during my grandfathers times.  :-\
