No one abused dogs more than the English with their dog vs bull, dog vs bear, dog vs dog...all sorts of fighting went on for centuries and spread it across the empire where to this day Pakistan still has dog vs bear bating using Gull-Terr dogs which is an oversized bullterrier looking dog.
