training music
« on: April 07, 2006, 12:41:27 PM »
I'm getting sick of listening to the same old Rammstein and Rob Zombie I have on my MP3, anybody have any suggestions of some different bands along the same vein?

Should have known better than to ask a serious question on this board.  How about an opinion of somebody who's NOT a fan of the boy's gay choir?

I don't know the lyrics, but I intently enjoy the beat/s...
50 Cent's - In da' Club
2 Pac's - various songs
Biggie Smallz
Old school NWA
...I know, I know...it's all gangsta' rap, but it works for me.

Limp Bitzkit, Linkin' Park, Metallica, ACDC works too.

chemical brothers. crystal method.  RATM. Bush remixed (deconstructed) or the White Zombie La Sexorcisto remix cd.

anything that combines techno with rock, without sucking, is good.  Also you can't go wrong with good rap- DMX, Jay-z, etc. None of the new garbage.

The very rhythmic thrash metal of the late 80's, early 90's. Like pre-commercialized Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. A really hard to find album that I loved was by a spin-off band named SOD, they had exactly the sound I love. Any bands still make that kind of sound? Everything today is too chaotic sounding, like they are trying to make the beat too complex.
