Standing for the anthem has zero to do with football. There is no connection between the two.

The NFL does not really care about the troops. They only do it for PR issues.

The NFL has zero to do with football. The NFL is a company, so is about making money. PR thus trumps the game itself.

No one said it wasn't about tradition. But traditions are socially constructed. Thus, what was the rationale that prompted the NFL to start saying anthem? How is football related to the national anthem?

Coach I actually did that. I think the principal lead the school in reciting it over the pa system.
