Lewis Howard Latimore

In 1874, he co-patented (with Charles W. Brown) an improved toilet system for railroad cars called the Water Closet for Railroad Cars (U.S. Patent 147,363)

Latimer received a patent in January 1881 for the "Process of Manufacturing Carbons", an improved method for the production of carbon filaments used in lightbulbs


Later he invented a locking rack for hats, coats, and umbrellas.

Whites are 62% of the country. If your business is 62% white and the rest a mix of minorities, you are an equally representative workplace. If you're over or above, you might have issues. I say 'might' because you can't hire people who don't apply. If Asians, for instance, are more apt to computers than blacks, you can't hire your way out of that number problem.
