Serious question: how much more does American society have to genuflect to the LGBT "community" to have it feel safe. Considering that I see no systemic oppression of the "community" I don't see why there needs to be further whining/bitching/bellowing/complaining/grieving/annoying "activism" considering many gays are living quite well and in some cases are loaded and powerful. The people inhabiting Chelsea, Manhattan, aren't oppressed considering there six or seven figure salaries and five figure rents.
