Not really.  He made his money from his Fitness Made Simple books but buy purchasing unused commercial ad space on networks for dirt cheap.  As a result, he got continued playtime on all of his products for years.

tapes and DVDs cost more money to produce than a paper book.  His main seller was the books...he made money on the DVD's but not as much as those books
