I have Netflix now.

It's annoying to navigate around all the leftist propaganda. But they actually have a few Getbig-related documentaries. One is playing right now - "Froning: The Fittest Man in History."
Then I looked up Rich Froning, and some of his stats:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Froning_Jr.
Clean and Jerk: 380 lb (170 kg)
Snatch: 306 lb (139 kg)
Deadlift: 570 lb (260 kg)
Backsquat:475 lb (215 kg)
Those are pretty good lifts. He is the same height as I am - 5'9 - and weighs 190, above my 170. With a proper cycle, I could get to his muscular weight within six months or less.
For perspective, I have done a "modified" Clean and Jerk using 215 - but that comprised rowing the weight from the top of the deadlift position to the start of the pressing position. But I don't train Olympic lifts. Had I properly used my hips to thrust the weight up, I think I could have gotten 230+. That said, I am confident in my ability to hit a Clean and Jerk of 280 with time and training...but 380? That's massive. Double body weight for Froning.
It looks like I am within 100-lb of his conventional lifts, and they would go up a little if I put on 20-lb to get my body weight up to 190-lb - whether I used steroids or not to get to that weight, my lifts would go up. I am confident in my ability to deadlift 535 @190. I'm not so sure about 570.
The point that I'm trying to make here is that CrossFit gets made fun of a lot - but Froning's lifts seem really good. For perspective, I will be heading to the CAASA provincials this weekend representing Western Ontario in the lightweight strongman class (<170-lb). Froning is a fair amount stronger than me, and is almost as strong as Jeffrey Nason who competes in the middleweight class (170-lb to 199-lb). He placed 2nd in Canada last year in the middleweight class and he will be competing at World's this year. For perspective, his max squat is similar to Froning's, and his max deadlift was 605 @205-lb.
This brings a couple of questions to my mind - why is CrossFit made fun of so much? Secondly, is CrossFit a good representation of "The Fittest Man on Earth"? Exactly what does CrossFit comprise to make that claim, in addition to the strength component?
[ I am watching the video right now, and there is a section right now about Froning not being able to knock up his girl. Hmm...although I guess that could be her fertility issues, not his.]
