cardio and training question
« on: April 07, 2006, 04:28:59 PM »
I am on a cycle of 450mg of Test and 200mg of boldenon a week. Would it be ok to do cardio three times a week for thirty minutes, moderate intensity? My training split looks like this:
Mon: arms
Tues: Legs
Wed: off
Thursday: Back
Fri: Chest and Shoulders
Sat, Sun: off

My goal of this cycle is to gain good quality muscle and stay lean 8-10% bodyfat, my diet is good, with plenty of good calories. Also, a weak point I want to bring up is my arms. So basically can I get away with doing cardio three times a week and if so when, or should I do none at all, and is this a good split to bring up my arms? Will cardio hinder my gains?

Okay, I nearly melted down reading this post, so lets dissect, shall we?

Short answer: no.

My goal of this cycle is to gain good quality muscle and stay lean 8-10% bodyfat,

You can't gain "quality muscle" at 8% bodyfat. Impossible.

my diet is good, with plenty of good calories.

You don't need good calories, you need any calories you can get, fuck the model look, fuck the jawline, eat like a horse and train, especially since you're using now. Time to stop the bullshit pretty-boy look. You won't get big if you eat like a bird.

Also, a weak point I want to bring up is my arms. So basically can I get away with doing cardio three times a week and if so when, or should I do none at all, and is this a good split to bring up my arms? Will cardio hinder my gains?

Cardio will stop your gains. Don't be a fucking moron, you're playing with your health, might as well do it right, so stop the fucking cardio and hit the weights.

I thought the purpose of steriods was to make you body more muscular and leaner, in other words look more aesthetically pleasing, not a big fat bloated powerlifter look. Although some may prefer this, particularly fat bloated powerlifters. No disrespect to powerlifters I admire what they do.

You stress the importance of cardio. Why is it so necessary other than to burn fat or maintain bodyfat levels? I thought thought cardio wouldn't mess anything up if you are on the juice. I know AAS are very potent drugs that will keep you in a positive nitrogen balance or anabolic state no matter what. I mean when the pros diet for contests their diets and training are very catabolic and depleting but they don't lose muscle because of AAS.

Yes, do your cardio, cardio has its place even when you are bulking. That said, you should not be doing long marathon sessions or anything like that, just keep it short and sweet, 20-30min sessions say 3 days per wk. Over-all cardiovascular health is an important aspect of training and should not be over looked.

Cardio won't hinder gains and actually you should be doing cardio anyway.  I'm a powerlifter and I still do more cardio than most people.  Do it after your workout on training days and in the morning on your off-days, whichever it falls on.

Cardio won't hinder anything if you're on AAS, providing your diet and sleep are tight.

True ;)

Regardless of your goals (powerlifter or bodybuilder) there is no more important muscle in the body than the heart.
the price is great... so is the reward

Empty stomach in the morning on off days, or after a workout on training days.

2pac.  Who else could take five years off, cold turkey, come back and fly lids off?  Biggie fronts, leave him leakin' in a bloody blood puddle like a drunk bleeds Smirnoff.  If badboys wanna hate, Puff Daddy needs to stay lost...
