If people (left or right to keep it simple for the masses) can't see the separation between monuments that Revere people who supported the losing side in a war that was fought for slavery (The state's right to own slaves if you try to bring up that red herring) and monuments for people who fought on the winning side to found our nation, then there is no hope for anyone.

You're trying to apply common sense here and it doesn't fit. Antifa (far liberal left) will alienate BLM and infuriate the far right wing hate groups and if they're not careful they're going to get caught in between.
