I'll let you in on a little secret about gun-owners: The vast majority are too scared or would never pull the trigger on anyone, even in their own house. There isn't going to be a civil war where everyone shoots each other because white people are too attached to their worldly possessions and scared of prison/dying, and 'minorities' generally don't own any or can't. 400 million guns in circulation according to ATF estimates and yet even mass shootings aren't that common. The Americans of the 1860s are long gone.

No one died as the city decided against "mutual combat" at this time.  That's why I thought something bad would happen.   Mutual combat is  being considered in a lot of cities to reduce cost of policing these events and property damage that usually runs in the millions.   Basically, both parties get a place outside of town and let them throw down.   


The racist Patriot Prayer and Proud Boys were outnumbered 4 to 1 but they held things down pretty well and got some good knockouts that I thought was impressive.   But Antifa ultimately did the most damage.   This couple from Patriot Prayer decided to do a picket charge through Antifa.   Got annihilated by them, some Democratic Socialists and members of Redneck Revolt pretty badly.  People couldn't get them out because they charged in way too far so they had to wait until they decided they had enough.....lol


I have to say that this almost makes me want to vote Trump again just to see more of this mayhem.   Fucking civil war and good money to be made off of this.

Compared to L.A. Portland is 'Podunk' which is why my wife and I moved here back in the '60's. L.A. was just too crowded and commute times were getting awful. One can only imagine what it's like today. Here in Portland, you couldn't even find an open restaurant on a Sunday. That's changed.

I've been through Portland recently, just as fucked as LA.

That's kind of a snap judgment. Downtown any city is pretty much the same. There's a lot of vagrants (nicely called homeless people). Rents are high, pretty much unfordable on  an entry level salary. It's cool to live downtown as long as you live in the Pearl or the southwest waterfront area. The 'cool' factor comes at a premium though. A 1 bd, 1 ba with 750 sq. ft. costs $2,100 a month in the Pearl. A 2 bd,  2 bath with 1700 sq ft in the south waterfront area runs $4,000 a month. I stick to my suburban 'white' enclave where my house payments are $1,500 a month for just under 3,000 sq. ft.

The last time my wife and I lived in L.A. - Granada Hills - we rented a smallest 3 bd, 2 ba home with around 1,400 sq ft. for probably pretty close to $200 a month. This was in in 1971. Everywhere we went we'd be in the car for over an hour because the north end of the valley was pretty much living out in the tulies.

I assume you do not live in Oregon. Because if you did, you'd know that these "tranquil communities" (read rural), do not embrace the principles of Marxism. Aside from Portland and Eugene, Oregon is mostly populated by conservative (republican) folks. Oregon is a blue state only because the folks living in these two abundantly populated cites are primarily democrats.
