Probably because he knew he didn't look ideal and it would probably be a waste of time. I'm sure after last years Olympia he knew where he actually stood with the other athletes. This time around his legs are healthy and he seems to be hitting them hard, so I would assume he is a go for sure.

I agree that pics dont do competitors justice but they don't lie. If you don't look like you should have won you probably didn't look the winner on stage either.

If pics and videos are worthless for judging we shouldn't post them and accept the decision, based on credibility and honor, of IFBB judges.

He knows he looks like an idiot (from the waist down ) finishing dead last for the second time around will be the end of Shabooom .... so lifting heavy, making social media noise and saying he WILL compete is what's keeping him from a major nervous breakdown .

About that "guns on floor" statement, if I recall someone took a quote out of context and Palumbo brought it up during one of those interviews he did with Kevin and Kev just sort of passively agreed without ever saying it himself, then everyone else made a big deal out of it.
