Yes. According to the most recent story from DNAInfo, they were indeed charged with a hate crime:

The group is charged with hate crime, aggravated kidnapping for ransom, aggravated armed kidnapping, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary.

They are also, as of today, still in prison awaiting trial. The alleged attack was eight months ago. Hope this helps.

Funny how they talked about this on the news for about 2 min of one day yet if it was reversed it would still be talked about daily.
