I believe race is a complex thing, which includes elements of biology but also langage, social elements, the history of a community, its expansion, régression or homeostasis. Some culture aim for conservation while others have expanded, sometimes failed, sometimes succeeded. I would object to being called a racist. A racialist of sorts though not in the 19th century definition.

Nature vs Culture. Very old dialectic. I tend not to think in a dialectical way. One of my best friends is a Darwin specialist and from what I've understood, biology evolves. Most geneticists think that DNA evolves. So it all comes down to this: do you believe biology induces a 100% determinism in one's life? I don't. But I don't think there's zero biological determinism either. As there no 100% social determinism but it sill comes into the equation also.
