Not even sure I've RIP'd the guy yet, so here:

26 years-old is just too just goddamn young and beyond f'n heartbreaking, even if the guy was some straight-up H-shooting stranger, like many of our gone-too-soon rock legends.

However. Is anyone in this God-forsaken industry the least bit concerned about the suicidal path every competitor MUST embrace to succeed at this level? OF COURSE it's ultimately a choice, but even the backwards Chinese install high-rise nets to help prevent hopeless sweatshoppers from CHOOSING to jump.

Question for those who still closely follow: Is it completely out of the question for year-round random testing? Not USADA or whomever, but the IFBB. Impossible to at least test for what we all seem to recognize as potentially lethal: insulin, diuretics, etc.? Months out, weeks/days before and after contests? The kidney-killers and heart-stoppers, is it truly a mystery what most contributes to these way-too-common disasters?

Twenty-fukking-six, this guy. How many of us even felt 'adult' at that age?

Leave the old stuff alone, fine. Whatever built Haney, Labrada, Paris, Taylor, etc. - they're all still living full, healthy lives. Ignore those drugs. But after '93 or whenever, when cartoonish huge became the norm? Anyone even find the modern, grotesque GH-gut physiques impressive? The look that's undoubtedly destroying organs by the day.

These officials/promoters/whatevers - whomever's sitting in Weider's old chair - how can anyone honestly say they're at all concerned about the well-being of their cashcow "athletes"?

That's all I got for now. Sure another'll be dropping here shortly, anyway.

They are not saying that.  Why pretend? :-X

Good point.

Shouldn't SOMEONE be? (What I probably should've said.)

You know, I have been guilty of joining the mob mentality, and slamming Aaron in the past, even though I have never met the guy.

If this is true, along with the charity, I think Aaron is doing well by Dallas.

You would first have to assume that the IFBB is making enough milk to even warrant having cash cows at this point. Honestly, who the hell are people excited about these days? Heath? Old (but great)Dex? A big Ramy that has supposed to have taken the IFBB by storm 5+ years running?

There are no rivalries. There are no story lines. There isn't even a Battle For The Olympia dvd anymore. Where is the buzz?

how about give it to his family?

Why do people always expect this? Especially from a 26 year old. This is a good faith gesture from Aaron.

Now, what I would do (if I were Aaron) is use some of that contract money to pay for Dallas's funeral. If you say that you are honoring his contract money, then the family should not have to pay for any funeral related expenses.

McCarver's contract was up after the Olympia so he's talking about one month of pay that was due on September 1st anyway.

Wow, what a guy!

Sounds like you are in the know. Didn't Dallas have a decent contract? I'm sure even a months salary would pay for a decent funeral.

Aaron should do the right thing in that regard.

let's just say that a month's pay would cover an average coffin and funeral service. I think Venom Versace once sold coffins on his website so he can provide the expert commentary on the subject.

Dallas McCarver would frequently speak about The Lord, so I am led to believe that he was saved.

I seriously doubt that but if you want to grasp at straws just be careful because that one is certain to break the camel's back.

No testing.  I don't even want testing at the Olympics, etc.  I believe in the ultimate choice and freedom of the individual to do what they want - even if it leads to their ruin - as long as it doesn't affect/hurt anyone else.

I am (mostly) no hypocrite , and I've done my share of bad things, but they were my choice and mine alone to make.  And I did these things not to make a living even, just for my own pleasure.  Some of them could very well have hurt/killed me.  No regrets.  Maybe my survival was as much luck as judgement, but I also chose when to stop and be (vaguely) normal.  Again, no regrets.  A man should control his own destiny, and if he wants to do something dangerous, it is nobody else's business.  Maybe his family are entitled to share their opinions as they genuinely care, but society/government/WADA/everyone else should butt out.

Just my 2c.

Has the court of GetBig issued a final judgement on the mortis causa yet?

I'm going to stake my colors to the mast here and go with massive heart attack.

I think the insulin thing - although it can kill - is a red herring.  I'm about the height Mr McC was (6' 1") and the idea of just walking around at approaching 24 stones (UK) blows my mind - let alone pushing the sort of weights he was using!  :o.   There may even have been a genetic propensity towards cardiomyopathy, who knows?

The description someone else left in this thread about the presentation of someone if you found them after such an episode, and how it could be confused with "chocking" was the clincher for me.

Unfamiliar with US law as I am, others have commented that the actual cause will be published, correct?  So anyone else care to cast judgement, as somebody has to be right?

So kids charity was near and dear to Dallas heart apparently?
First I've heard of that
Never saw him talk about it or any footage of him
Just saw him going to gym food shopping and getting massaged
Could someone plz explain to me why he never ever mentioned kids charity once when he was alive
Hopefully Aaron once a junkie always a junkie singerman wouldn't be using this donated money to break even for the money dallas cost him by dying

It seems like you are slamming a dead guy for a 'Go Fund Me' that he had nothing to do with. If you are ragging on Aaron Singerman's motives, I have no argument with you because I can't possible know what they are.

Don't fall for it if any of my relatives should put up a Go-Fund-Me page when I die. If they do, which they won't,  then you shouldn't fall for it (and most likely wouldn't anyway).

My cremation is paid for. I've requested no services be held. My kids are financially secure adults. Nobody who is close to me needs to or should profit from my death.

My thinking is that when you die, you become a memory and fertilizer for the living. It matters not who you are or who you think you are, because in the end, your physical self is just a little dust.

Guys who are ragging about a charity set up yet will never donate anyways.

Never understood people who actually think their complaining means shit when they are not even part of the problem/solution.

Its like ranting at a politician you hate publicly and will never vote for, like they give a fuck what their haters think in the end.

Example I am sure for 8 years Obama has not given one fuck about the people who will never vote for him anyways cursing him, much like the Trump haters today and the haters of whomever is president in 2020.

Point is you just cant win with everyone so fuck any detractors opinions, they just dont matter
