People who live in Gulf states are well aware of the potential storm risks, yet they still choose to live there.

So you are immune to all of what nature throws at you.

Didn't they say this is the worst storm since 1961? Not exactly the same as living at the bottom of an active volcano.

Or on the san andreas fault line, or near Tsunamis, or tornado alley. Always shake my head when i see the long traffic lines leaving areas of hurricans, people spending money on plywood near every year to board up their windows. Nice place when climate is right, just wld not live there.

Yea as long as you stay out of flood traps Houston is a decent city. Has to be better than living in a jungle of anywhere a random earthquake can happen?

I'm in the heights area of houston and have lived in houston most of my life. Houston floods a good amount as is so it was a forgone conclusion that parts would flood with Harvey. That being said I dont think anyone expected this amount of flooding.

Most anywhere you choose to live nature can wreck havoc. Some places are more prone to this than others. In Portland, OR there is occasional flooding, windstorms, freezing rain, snowstorms, earthquakes and the threat of Mt. Hood erupting. In the meantime we have, on average, 144 days of sunshine and 100 days of precipitation in a year. In 1962, the devastating Columbus Day Storm, also known as The Big Blow, produced 179 mph winds.

Where is Jesus.  Why isn't Jesus putting up a giant umbrella?

That's the beauty of brainwashing religious people. If storm ended up not causing any damage they'll say Jesus saved them and if it causes too much damage it's all in Jesus' plan.  Fucking church gave themselves outs in no matter what situation they end up in.

Jesus isn't of this world. He only exists in the mind of the emotionally delusional.

Stores were all bought out, nothing left to loot, + it's all underwater.

When black people break into a store during a disaster for food, water, shoes, and other necessities....its called looting.  When white people do it, its called provisioning.

Fact is that no more people were actually looting than with any other disaster but don't forget that people in New Orleans went days without any federal support or assistance

That's bullshit, Vince. Stealing is stealing. As far as the federal support for NO, you can thank that POS mayor for that that the left tried to pin on Bush
