Yes, love comes over me as I have to envision the nightmarish, sorry excuse for an education for which I might have to set up my kid in years to come.

I thought the purpose of school was to 1) learn stuff, 2) set someone up to be a responsible, well-versed adult!

Have you noticed common core wants to do away with classical literature? I believe one of the reasons is to set kids up to be "sensitive", "understanding", corporate drones/slaves, who have no connection with their civilization or ancestors.

Little off topic but I'll add when you talked about the education your kid will receive In the future..my girlfriend's daughter is 14 and her science teacher told them he doesn't believe man landed on the moon....And it was fixed.....i swear..i was shocked that she told me this..and angry...dont bring your personal beliefs to your job..just work and get paid ..
