Brett McKay from Art of Manliness updates his progress since working with Rippetoe.
Put on 40 pounds of body weight. Press, squat and deadlift all greatly increased.

fella seems like a cool dude and pretty handsome to boot (no homo)
in my experience strength gains had little to do with size gains
for example my best lean size was a buck 70 @ 6-7% and I was weaker than I am now

now I'm near 25 pounds lighter @ 5% but I can curl and bench more weight than I could then
when I was a buck 70 I was on gear but I trained with "light weights" using constant tension and doing sets and reps
what's strange about now is that I've gone from 15% to 5% and I put on 2 lean pounds while losing about 20 pounds of body fat while eating one fucking meal a day most days consisting of coffee and either a mcdouble or a quarter pounder
and I've been off of gear since November
looks like I won't be able to make flyweight as I'm over 30 pounds away from it and I have less than 8 pounds of body fat and from all the shit I've read on the subject they say men must have at least 5.5 pounds of body fat to function properly
