This really sucks for a friend of mine that has two big training facilities in N. Miami and Davie that had to be closed down.

Me and my girl arrived in Destin at noon yesterday. Had a beautiful day at the beach. Irma has swung west enough to intensify what we will get the next 2 days. Right now the wind has kicked up pretty well, dark clouds rolling in and the waves are intensifying. We will be watching roll in from the water on the 13th floor. Sand bags are already staged on the 1st floor. Tuesday on will be beautiful again.

Hopefully, everyone heeded the warnings and is well stocked.   Quite concerned for our friends in Naples, Fort Myers and the Tampa area, which has not seen this type of storm in 90 years, and did not have the luxury to get ready

There was another one like this 90 years ago? Kinda blows the theory that this was caused by "global warming"

I really would love it if he was coming out of the store with a case of beer and just got hit with a flood that carried him off into the ocean
since he can't swim

to die for the love of alcohol
what could be more beautiful?

For a complete comparison, one should take into account not just the intensity but also the frequency of hurricanes. Major hurricanes are category 3 or higher. In the 1920's there were 34 hurricanes total, 15 of which were major hurricanes. In the 2010's there were 56 total hurricanes with 22 of them being major. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_hurricane_season#1920s

I'm including some charts for a more complete picture.

Dave Palumbo and his family are sticking it out through the storm and have opened  their home up to those in need.

He has been giving some pretty good storm  coverage on RXMuscle from his front-back yard (a beautiful piece of Florida property with an alligator creek running through his side yard) which may prove to be of  interesting to most GetBiggers.

Parts of my family who have a beautiful  home in Naples have driven up to North Carolina as ordered by the appropriate personnel.

Anyone care to make an uneducated guess as to how IRMA will affect the Olympia lineups this coming week?

Include competitors as well as officials.

1730 West Coast Time : Just heard from Naples, Fl .relatives that their home stood up well throughout the peak of the storm. Lots of water in the front yard but none in the house. A few trees blown away. No major property damage.

I hope that's true for the rest of the neighborhood.

He should have sent his sister to the liquor store with the neighbor kid's ice cream money. Besides, I thought manatees could swim.  ;D

A few good missiles would do the trick

they have the ammo to do it .. launch a million dollars worth of missiles to break up the storm

Do you ever jerk off to the wives on House Hunters? There are some hot ones sometimes.
