Bad Boys and Midnight Run scribe George Gallo is set to direct his ninth feature Bigger about bodybuilding pioneer brothers Joe and Ben Weider, who against all odds, battled poverty and anti-Semitism to create the fitness industry as we know it. Tyler Hoechlin from Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some, MTV’s Teen Wolf and MGM’s upcoming The Domestics will play Joe Weider, who discovered Arnold Schwarzenegger and founded the International Federation of Bodybuilding which operates today in 55 countries.

Anti-Semitism in Quebec?    It's hilarious to me even hearing this - Jews face discrimination, yet accusing everyone else of bigotry is not a form of discrimination, right? 

If they don't like it, no one is forcing them to live in gentile-societies.

Anyway, I will be watching the rest of "Trapped in Paradise" today.  Funnily enough, I'm fairly sure George Gallo directed it too.  Sounds Italian.

I believe that George Gallo directed "Trapped in Paradise", a 1994 movie about bank robbers how had a change of heart after ending up in the home of the family that owned the bank.  Cool movie.  I remember watching it when I was 13, then recently watched it again.  Whatever happened to Jon Lovitz?

He married Hedwiges "Vicky" Uzar; together they had one child, Lydia Ross (mother to Weider's three grandchildren), and subsequently divorced in 1960.[2] During his marriage to Vicky Uzar he had met Betty Brosmer, who was then the highest paid pin-up girl in the U.S.[3] In 1961 Joe and Betty married, and she began working alongside him as Betty Weider. Betty and Joe together authored books on bodybuilding.[4] Joe, Betty and Ben together were the co-founders of the International Federation of BodyBuilders.[5]

‘Bigger’ Bodybuilding Pic Gains Victoria Justice & Colton Haynes

Actress-singer Justice who has made her mark in in Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show, Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Blumhouse/MTV’s Eye Candy, will portray Kathy,  Joe Weider’s (Tyler Hoechlin) first wife.

Haynes will play the role of iconic fitness guru Jack LaLanne, who during the 1950s and ’60s was known for his incredible feats of strength, like swimming to Alcatraz handcuffed and doing 1,033 push-ups in 23 minutes.

The actor can currently be seen on American Horror Story: Cult, and recently appeared on the big screen in Sony’s Rough Night. His other credits include Arrow and Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens.
