The kids from Mexico came to this country with their parents and have lived with parents/family in this country for years. They often came over as infants or very young children and have lived in this country their entire life and don't know any other country as "home".

The kids from Central America came over here by themselves and are often teenagers.   They have no guardians or anyone else here.

actually Mexico and Canada would be treated exactly the same...if the parents came over to the US illegally and brought their kids and had been living here for a long time
