Phil Heath 2009 vs 2017 6 & 7 weeks out (Enhanced)
« on: September 12, 2017, 10:12:05 AM »
There are some advantages to youth in bodybuilding &
other advantages to being older.
Some times it's the miles put on the body more than age.
I enhanced the footage as much as possible without going
overboard. I wasn't too impressed at Phil 6 weeks out BUT
he's been doing this so long. (The word is he's looking massive
& in great condition.) Why should I doubt a 6 time Mr. Olympia
with probably the best coach, results wise. I appreciate you checking
it out.  Thx! KC... SKOM

Phil should win again. Even if Ramy finally decides to come in shredded and slightly looks better than him, they will give Ramy Top 3 at best to build up next years Mr. Olympia.

Rhoden won't win because he needs a better back than Phil and at his age there is no chance of that happening.

Dexter will get Top 3 at best.

Rhoden was gifted last year. He has had distension the last two Olympias and started to fade as the comparisons went on. His back is sup-par, arms are average compared to the other high-placing guys, but he does have great quads.

Rhoden is weak where Phil is very strong; Back & Triceps
Rhoden has a small frame and looked incredible at 225 pds.
when he won his 1st 2 shows in 2012. I guess Chris thought the way
they had a shot at Heath was get bigger but he looked better lighter.
His poor triceps hurt quite a few poses.
Like this one...

Side Tri when he doesn't angle it...

When he was super on point and Aceto has admitted he's lost separation
getting bigger.

3. Big Ramy

I think Ramy will get the second spot. I think Dexter will diminish enough at near 50 to move him down to  3.

Guys with Flex's build look best under 230. Look at Brian Buchanan, Jojo, and Melvin Anthony for reference points.

Arms on him in general are bad

Arms on him in general are bad

The worse thing about triceps is they take up 2/3 of the mass of your
arm unless you're Arnold & they are more important in more poses.
Think Dorian. FDB is the only pose where it made any significant difference.
But yea, just some better separation from the front between
his bis and tri's would make his arms look better.

Obviously the lighting and angle are different so that could be all it is, but he looks way better in that clip in 2009.

Everything popped more - he looked bigger but also more seperated, especially chest and triceps.

RHoden was gifted 2nd last year

his back is weak, lacks width and thickness and detail

Ramy, Dex, Phil all kill RHoden in back poses
