2017 Olympia - Does Phil Heath have a umbilical hernia?
« on: September 17, 2017, 06:24:50 AM »
WTF was that thing?

And why TF would he not get it removed knowing every inch of his body would be on display and scrutinised etc?

Any medical experts here? Could one not simply get that cut off?

If its an umbilical hernia, then I assume that small bulge was his intestine. Really can't get that cut off.

Umbilical hernia: A condition in which the intestine protrudes through the abdominal muscles at the belly button.

Edit: there is nothing to remove (in the sense you're saying). The hernia has to be repaired.

It truly does look like a penoris. I wonder if he rubs it on his fiancé.

Thanks. So either way presumably he could have had an operation to plug it back in, so to speak? If so, why didn't he. Is this a condition that can just "pop out" a few weeks or months before a contest?

Yes, you can get a hernia at any time. It could have happened a week before the show. Hell, it could have happened three days before the show. You can have a hernia for a period of time and show no symptoms. If the tear of the abdominal wall gets bigger and bigger, the intestine pops through (you can obviously have other symptoms too).

I had a double inguinal hernia. I had a small bulge on my right side but no bulge on my left side, but still had a hernia on the left just no symptoms were showing on the left side.

If the hernia happened two months ago, then he would most likely hold off on the surgery since it would have disrupted his training. He could have had the hernia for an extended period of time but possibly never knew until he started to show symptoms (intestines popping through abdominal wall). But,yeah, you could develop a hernia at any time.

his whole abdominal wall seems to be stretched.

like a woman gets after pregnancy.

he has a milder version of palumboism going on there. Or Lennyism if you will...

what caused it no clue. insulin maybe..

I believe Casey Viator had told a story where he was squatting and his intestines popped through his abdominal wall. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Viator did have an inguinal hernia; however, do not know how it happened.

Exercise belts do not prevent hernias in any way.

Phil's abdominal penoris wins again - deserves a name.....
« Reply #17 on: September 18, 2017, 03:40:19 AM »
It's never missed a training session, outlasted a marriage, and has bounced it's way to seven Sandows. It has never had an internet meltdown over the fans lack of respect, cried like a little bitch after a win, or tried to say it was in a league with Yates and/or Schwarzenegger. In fact, it has remained elusive and mysterious throughout it's Olympia reign, never giving interviews, shying away from controversy, always silent...quite unlike the owner of the insulin bloated belly from which it protrudes. It is said that every dog has it's day, and the abdominal appendage swinging from Phil's turtle shell gut should be no different - it's famous (quickly surpassing Phil in celebrity standing), it's a multiple Mr. O winner........it deserves a fucking name.

With that said- I'm somewhat partial to "Sparky" myself, but am curious as to other's ideas.
It's rumored that Phil lurks here so let's show him and his little friend some love.

THERE ONCE WAS A BELLY WEENER NAMED WEINER,
AS A SLIMEY LITTLE WEASEL NONE WAS KEENER
IMPRESSIVE MUSCLE, BELLY SAUSAGE AS CUTE AS A LEMUR

DANGLING FROM THE GUT, LIKE A LITTLE SLUT
THINKING HIMSELF A GREAT STUD
HE DECIDED TO SHOW OFF HIS SPUD

BUT HIS TINY MEMBER WAS JUST A MISDEMEANOR.
AN ANNOYING SIGHT LIKE A DRIVER IN A BEEMER
WOULD I TOUCH IT? ID RATHER BREAK MY FEMUR

All jokes about his Penoris aside, he deserves respect for the win. 7 wins is mind blowing. He is a better poser tha big Ramy and knows exactly how to best showcase what he has. All part of the game.

And again, for everyone criticising his clavicles, again he deserves respect for winning despite this limitation.
