Even though I'd have given to Ramy, congrats to Phil.  He redeemed Mentzer, who according to Arnold at the 80 Olympia, had his belly hanging out all over the place.

Why you skipped 2015 NA?

It was posted on another board. 2015 was better than 2016-2017.

Arnold won easily in 1980, the other bodybuilders just couldn't handle it

Yes,  he bought a different package but still more size and excellent conditioning. No big smooth gut with obliques jutting out like Cheath

Man, it was painful to look at. Just thinking about it I can feel my belly button hurting.

He came in Super Lean. He knew that the competition was better than 1975 and really went hard - plus he was 5 years older and that helped get even leaner. He might have looked smaller but that's what happens when you drop 10-15 pounds to get leaner.

Phil at his supposed best condition has a bloated gut. Dorian's wasn't that bad in 1997, and he had a torn muscle 3 weeks earlier which wouldn't have helped.

Yea, arnold was in no way out of shape so to speak.
I think he looked awesome in the total rebuild footage. I can't ever accept a big smooth turtle gut as part of bodybuilding
