When it goes on sale in Korea, the G70 will be offered with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder petrol and a 2.2-liter inline-four diesel. The twin-turbo V6 is the same unit found in the Kia Stinger and drives the performance-oriented G70 Sport, delivering 370 PS (365 hp) and 376 lb-ft of torque.

Meanwhile, the 2.0-liter turbo offers up 254 hp and 260 lb-ft and the diesel delivers 201 hp and 324 lb-ft of twisting force.

They have stacked their deck with German and other Euro designers, and have just hired a former M designer. They have a former head of BMW M heading up their N Division (one letter off of M Division).

As far as this car is concerned, everybody tries to make a "3 series competitor/killer", but the 3 series is a moving target. And the 3 series iconic and is known for its handling. And this car looks kinda porky.

They don't even have a dealership yet. At least The Japanese created separate dealerships for their luxury lines. Hyundai went about this the wrong way. Hyundai's execution of the Genesis brand is sloppy. You cannot have people who are shopping for a Hyundai Elantra in the same place with people shopping for this new G70 and other Genesis models.

I think the G70 will probably be cross shopped with the  TLX and Q50, which I it'll do quite well against.  The Q50 is very profitable for Nissan and if the G70 does as well it'll make a great addition to Hyundai's bottom line.

Genesis will probably be adding two or three suv's to the mix shortly.

Yes, it's called the Kia Stinger and shares the same body and engines as the G70.  This was the first year Kia outsold Hyundai in America.

"The best or nothing" is MB's marketing slogan. I think it's great. I like Audi, BMW, and Porsche as well but still think MB has unrivaled cachet, and for good reason. There was a time, not too long ago, where people wouldn't touch Audis. It was viewed as a dangerous, second-tier, "luxury" Volkswagen. BMW has always been a "driver's car" but only recently came into its own as a luxury make, same for Porsche, if not more so. MB has always been the luxury standard. And AMG is hard to beat when it comes to performance.
