I believe that in his previous comeback, he had a serious health scare. Serious enough for him to quit thonging, and going away to Puerto Rico to live his last years with his familia.

Idk why any of them would come back to fight for a pot metal (or even plastic) trophy they have no chance of winning, and prize money barely good enough to cover their drugs.... That said, it shows you how piss poor the current crop mostly is when a tier 2 guy from the previous era looks at them and thinks he has a chance if he can get back to that point...
