There was no need for him to get to 340+ pounds. He could have been Mr O at 280 and should have focussed just on continuing to bring up lats, biceps and delts.

He looked worse in the last year as he gained mass.

They did 25 reps of overhead presses with him.

All used lifting straps during the casket farmer’s walk. Just the way Dallas would’ve wanted

The casket had extra compartments to store protein powder and pills.

If he could have cinched in that waist he would have been a real contender.

I thought after the near pass out he was going to take a needed break
because he said he was skipping the Olympia.
I thought about it and there is no telling how long he's been doing PED's
straight without a break.
I made a Dallas tribute video to Staind's (Something to Remind You)
and I was sad the rest of the day.
Didn't know the guy but what bothered me was how avoidable this was;
unless he really did choke to death..But I think we all have a pretty good idea
what MOST LIKELY happened.

Bad thing is we will prob never know the truth

What makes me feel bad is how is Mom felt - son starts perusing something he loves , starts getting paid and going recognition so you turn a blind eye to underlying issues and then he drops dead 2-3 years after being pro and recently moving to Boca or whatever

Seeing his old trainer Matt Jansen post tributes to him and it seems like he knew shit was going south , working with different trainers doing crazy shit - if it was all about uppng the dose why wouldn’t Jansen still train him ?

Mercury based diuretics , combining fast and slow acting slin while breaking up 30iu gh shots into 5 rounds in a day .. .... ..

In that vid, he had no "pop" to his muscle. Kid died too early. Pro bodybuilding has morphed into the internal organ burnout game.

There's a video 6 months on from the contest you posted where Dallas weighs in at 329lbs, so he may have been around 280-285 at the contest in the video. If he was 265, that's a huge jump of 60lbs in 6 months. He did look good though in 2017. Not as ripped as the year before but still in good contest shape.

He put on a huge amount of weight in that last year before he died. The pressure to be an ever increasing mass monster and live up to expectations got to him. The week before he died Josh said he was "looking absolutely massive". So apart from all the drugs and chemicals imagine the strain on his heart and organs from the shear size and mass. It might have been that in 2017 onwards his waist would have been blown anyway...

Its really very sad. Country kid kind of gets into the "fast lane". Combine that with the "immaturity" that comes with a young guy in his 20's, perhaps not overly self aware of psychology or of chemical biology, and combine that with a strong drive to "win", where there is a clear correlation between winning, and training, and lets face it, drugs, and then add on to that social media pressure, and all the self-criticism and self doubt that comes with being criticized and scrutinized 24/7.

From his 265 weight he would have developed amazingly if he could be adding 8-10 pounds per year from age 25 - 30, each time coming in as lean as possible. Instead he blew up to 340+ over a year. That's a huge amount of mass.  Also, if you look at his abs in 2015/2016, you can already see huge risk of them becoming separated and developing into a grotesque size that would detract from proportions.

Again, 8-10 pounds, focused on delts, lats, arms was what he should have been aiming for.
