In other shootings:
-A 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side just after 5:20 a.m. Sunday, police said. He was standing on the corner in the 2400 block of South Whipple Street when someone inside a black vehicle fired multiple rounds. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
-A man, 24, was shot while in the 2400 block of West Haddon Avenue in Humboldt Park, about 3:45 a.m., police said. The man was on the sidewalk when he heard gunfire and felt pain, officials said. The man drove to Presence St. Mary Medical Center where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his right arm, police said.
-A 28-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side just before 2:50 a.m. Sunday, police said. He was standing on the sidewalk in the 300 block of South Sacramento Boulevard when a gunman came up to him and fired shots. The man went in a private vehicle to Mount Sinai Hospital and then walked out, police said.
-In the South Loop, a 25-year-old man was shot in the right side and hip in a vehicle just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. The man was sitting in the parked car in the 1900 block of South Wentworth Avenue when someone got out of a black SUV and fired shots. The man appeared to drive to the Central District police station in the 1700 block of South State Street, where a black sedan with its passenger side window shot out was parked. A blood stain in the station's lobby could also be seen and was cordoned off. Police were investigating the shooting as an attempted carjacking, according to preliminary information from a law enforcement source.
-A 44-year-old man was shot by a homeowner while attempting to break into a South Side home in the Bronzeville neighborhood just before 10:55 p.m Saturday., police said. The homeowner told police that the intruder used a crowbar to force his way into his home in the 4500 block of South St Lawrence Avenue when he fired at him. The intruder fled in a vehicle and drove to Mercy Hospital, police said. Shot multiple times, he will be transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. The homeowner, a 60-year-old man, has a valid FOID card and a concealed carry permit.
-Another shooting happened about 12:45 p.m. in the 4300 block of West Jackson Boulevard. A 32-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the leg and got himself to Loretto Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
-Earlier Saturday, shortly after 9 a.m. in the same neighborhood, a 26-year-old man was in a vehicle in the 4500 block of West Congress Parkway when he suffered a wound to his face. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
No one was in custody and police were investigating.
