California is getting to the point of being a rogue state, the feds have no control over it it seems. Trump has limited control, very limited.

So knowingly injecting people with deadly chemicals or diseases is also fine then?

Ill repost this since some of you can't understand why they made it no longer a felony...

No it's done to encourage more people to get tested in the first place. The theory is a lot of people aren't getting tested because if they have it and have sex and infect others they can't be charged with knowingly infecting other people.

Heard about this a few months ago on public/talk radio. KPCC outta los Angeles.

Just the other day they were saying std's have increased 30% as unprotected sex has increased because of girls used better/easier long term birth control. Increased std's also (usually) correspond with an increase in HIV infection as well. However, they haven't gotten results back as to the number of HIV infections yet but its expected to mirror the std numbers

If you don’t get tested you can’t get treated. So you get AIDS and look sick quickly and kill yourself. I think most people want to live, it is dumb reasoning.
This is just a long term play for the drug companies. Now every single person is going to have to be on prep and if people get it, it is more money for the drug companies anyway.

Because much like New York, California is the most liberal state in the Union which makes it the most screwed up. It's a toss up on which state is Governed the worst, us or you.

I wish this were from The Onion:

California To Have Harsher Penalty For Pronoun Violations Than For Knowingly Spreading HIV

Beginning in 2018, California law will have harsher penalties for health care workers who address a senior transgender patient with the “wrong” pronouns than for people who knowingly infect others with HIV.

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation on Friday lowering the maximum penalty for knowingly infecting or exposing a person to HIV to six months in prison — down from a maximum of eight years. Also last week, Brown signed legislation allowing for penalties of up to one year in jail for health care workers who “willfully and repeatedly” use the “wrong” pronouns to refer to a senior transgender patient. (RELATED: Legal Experts: Transgender Pronoun Mandates Are Unconstitutional)

Democratic state Sen. Scott Weiner sponsored both pieces of legislation.

Brown also signed another law last week that shortened the length of time some sex offenders have to remain on the sex offender registry.

That bill, too, was sponsored by Weiner.

This is the reason they gave for removing some from the sexual offenders list

The measure was introduced at the request of Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey and other law enforcement officials who said the registry, which has grown to more than 105,000 names, is less useful to detectives investigating new sex crimes because it is so bulky.

“California's sex offender registry is broken, which undermines public safety,”  said Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), who introduced the bill. “SB 384 refocuses the sex offender registry on high-risk offenders and treats low-level offenders more fairly.”

Yup. What a lame reason.

I mean, I am sure if law enforcement put in someone's social security number, there name would pop right up.

I wonder what the real agenda is.

Yeah, ridiculous. I posted this on the poli board yesterday. Then people wonder why I'm so partisan. Just about everything the left does has no common sense and destroys the state. The sad part is they don't even realize it. They want to secede but still want federal assistance

if a person doesnt die it cant be considered murder, do you suggest attempted murder? but even that is a stretch if it doesnt kill anyone.

second one would think that a person has a responsibility to protect himself regardless.

looking forward to your response.

I really have nothing to say to this except, dirty fucking people with aids should not knowingly transmit it to anyone. If you do you should be given the death penalty.Simple as that.Yes everyone should protect themselves but when carrying a disease those who are carrying it have a responsibility to inform anyone else so they can make their own decision.Take responsibility for your own actions and these stupid rules just further it along for libtards to once again not take responsibility.

Not everyone with HIV is a dirty fucking person. Some don't even get it from sex. I know a lady, a nurse, that got it because she got stuck with a needle.
But yes, not telling a sexual partner about you having it is evil. fucking trump is tearing this country apart. What a bad leader.

I was just going to say what about the 3 year old child who got HIV via a blood transfusion.  :-\ :-\

But, yes, I also think that someone with HIV should tell someone else they have it. Even if not from a legal perspective, it really is the moral thing to do.
