Well - another nice Sunday with no NFL games playing at the home or at quite a few of my friends houses because of the lack of owners business sense. Unlike other sports, aka NBA Basketball in which owners took a stand, the NFL does not need our business nor the ratings.
Does it matter? Respect of our anthem for many of the people who served and died out there. Simple as that.
I disagree with you on this Ron. As a person who served in the military, I would never, ever, ever, kneel or disrespect the flag in any way whatsoever. However, person are forgetting why NFL players ARE kneeling to begin with....to protest discrimination and police brutality...that their 1st Amendment right.
As far as Mike Pence is concerned, it was clearly a publicity stunt. He knew good and DAMN WELL that SOME NFL players would be kneeling in protest....and I do say some because the pictures show that most of the 49er's were standing for the anthem.
The speech about disrespecting the flag takes the cake as Donald Trump has shown complete disrespect for John McCain being captured and tortured....where the fuck was he when that was happening???
Rather than the president interjecting himself into the NFL and disrespecting any ethnic culture out there that isn't white, perhaps he should do his job...period. If you don't want to watch football, that's fine with me....BECAUSE THAT'S YOUR RIGHT.
