How does one go about becoming a member of "Team Upright Row"?
« on: October 08, 2017, 01:05:39 PM »
I mastered the hand and elbow position on upright rows today. No calf raises during the movement. No shoulder inflammation. I'm ready to step it up. What does the joining process involve?

Yep. Add that exercise to behind the neck presses and you can kiss your shoulders goodbye.

Solid advice there from Nelson.

I'd just add that if anyone shows the slightest disrespect towards your upright rowing technique - no matter where you are - be prepared to:
    1   identify the b1tch in them
    2   take them down to the ground
    3   and kick in their teeth....

go wider with the grip and have the bar further away from the body. kinda mimics a db lateral raise if done correctly. had wrist problems when i did them with the close grip close to the body, but fixxed when going wide and bar away from the body.

behind the neck presses can be fine so long as you dont have your elbows/upper arm's go below parallel to the floor... and i typically dont lock out or have clients lock out. with front presses i'll typically have the bar come down as far as possible and keeping elbows in front perpendicular to the body and only going half way up to keep stress on the delts and not the triceps;
