Good times.

Real women.

No over-the-top plastic surgeries... especially on the face.

Breast augmentation and the occasional nose job.

Now it is ridiculous fake lips, bad nose jobs, botox

Ugh!

These were better times.

The world changes. People call it growth, but I'm not so sure.

Change can often go horribly wrong.

Pretty much the scene tonight at a Gold's Gym I go to. Chick on the leg press doing her texting for about 30 min. Guy doing dead lifts with a 10 pound plate on each side of the bar, all the while taking selfies. I ran through my workout in 30 min just to get out of there. Times have changed.

I love the guys swag, unphased by meatheads getting pumped cuz he's already drained his load on every chick in the building. And just like a typical meathead hating on the guy getting the girls cuz they are too busy checking him out than the 6 girls in the room lol

there are a few at the gym I go, I just use the equipment regardless of them having finished.

There is no understanding of gym etiquette anymore , they just seem to think they can use equipment as long as they like.
I once asked a guy could I work in between his sets , he said no, I just fucked him off and used it.

every gym has the cell phone guys

also most lifters back in the day were pretty serious (if a male went a gym in the 1970s etc they were all balls)

the only gym that does not have the wussy bags are true power-lifting gyms. ive been to a few of those with my older brother and they are hard corin it up. Jakked gym in (outside of chicago) is like that.

you def make more gains in a solid gym (ecosystem is a big deal for me) doesnt need to be HARD CORE but a solid gym is needed for me. Ill drive the extra distance for a quality gym

my 2 fav gyms
powerhouse gym joliet IL
Independence gym scottsdale, AZ

I have a hooded sweatshirt for each  ;D ;D

A lot of these people keep their music on their cell phones and are just adjusting songs.  No different than training with a Walkman back in the 80s.

I carry a gym bag because of the shitty gym I go to. There's only one rope, people are always taking those links you use to attach lat bars, rope, cable handles..., also only one of those V-shape handles that you use to do seated cable rows. I just got sick of either waiting or hunting around the gym for those items so I just bought my own and carry them around. Rope, attachments, a couple of cable handles, V-shape handles so I can do seated rows. I even keep about three extra pins because people take them off the weight stack and you can't find them FFS!

I don't carry all of this at once but only as needed depending what I'm doing that day but my gym bag still weighs a ton. It sucks but I'm not going to spend half my time at the gym searching the floor for shit. And, yes, I have complained and even written to HQ to no avail. They don't give a crap. It's Hawaii and there no other public gym within ten miles. It's different in town where they have other gyms and some competition.

"Assholes"? Weight belt, straps, pre and post workout drink plus a place to put your keys, cell phone and wallet. Why do you have to be an asshole to take a gym bag with you to the gym??
