I've read that before as well. but not sure it really works that way....6'5" 275 is a lot different proportions to me that 6'1 215.

and their on stage weight limit is 86 Kg for a 180 cm fella

thats a buck 90 @ 5'11

so 175-180 seems bout right

This is a good topic.

I've always felt that a person's bone structure dictates how much muscle they can have and still be aesthetic.

When a short guy gets too big, he tends to actually look overweight in street clothes.

Why?

Because it is simply too much size for the bone structure... the skeleton.

It doesn't look right.

I know that sounds quite small nowadays.

When a guy like Frank Zane is just above two hundred at 5'9", then 200lbs. at 6' seems too small.

frank zane was never onstage at over 200 lbs.

and steve reeves is a legend buthis height/bodyweight/measurement chart has many holes including the illusion in bodybuilding which is why with his structure he was ABLE to look so proportionate

you can take anyone who has all those so called height/weight/measurement in perfect mathemeatical matchup, but it does not mean it will translate well onstage

 i like zane but that is bs. He claimed 190ish during 1977-79 era and was shredded like fuck, yet in 1983 he claimed 10lns less and was not as shredded.
my opinion, from 77-79 he was 175-180lbs tops shredded, 19080 he was way down because of that horrific injury, would not be surpised if he was under 175lbs there.

convenient hpw  they stopped weighing them for the over and under 200 lbs mr olympia classes around then and all of a sudden everyone's claimed contests weight all of sudden jumped 20lbs.
