Bigger Movie - Calum Von Moger wins role as Arnold in the movie

Maybe they'll do well off the back end, selling it for cable filler, etc.... I think they were trying early on to pull some of the Mtv audience, as they made a big deal of casting Tyler Hoechlin, who apparently was some big teen star. I don't think it will have enough gravitas to work as an arthouse type film, so it will be interesting to see how it ends up.

Tyler Hoechlin plays the most effeminate, metrosexual Superman ever in the "Supergirl" TV series.  I'm ashamed to say I watched most of it after binge-watching all of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, etc., and Supergirl was the dregs left at the bottom of the barrel.

Supergirl is slightly more poorly written than an ABC After-School Special.  But that's another topic for another thread.

I've met both Joe and Ben on a few occasions such as dinners, meetings, and as an invited guest within his office where he was proud to show me all of his Remington art pieces.

On each occasion he was more than a perfect gentleman which would make one hell of a boring motion picture script.

Ben appeared to be more intelligent than his brother Joe and spoke on behalf of the IFBB when he proposed that the NPC become associated with the IFBB while Joe remained seated in the background as silent as a rock.

That meeting was probably the most interesting occurrence that I actually witnessed in which both of the Weider brothers were involved which  I could personally write about if I were asked to contribute to the script .... but definitely not interesting enough to keep the movie -going audience from falling sound asleep.

The rumors (most of which I believe were possibly untrue) are what would make the script and the movie interesting .... even if they never did in fact occur.

Here are some interesting rumors that most of us had heard about just about the time that the actual event occurred which initiated those rumors: (Nothing real earth shattering here .... Merely 'stuff' that I was personally involved  with or personally witnessed or had heard directly from the horse's mouth!)

1. Joe moved his publishing business to the West Coast because he was in arrears with the back-payments that were due to his east coast printers.

2. Zane beat Arnold in that Florida contest because Joe remained in California that weekend.

3. Franco won because it was his turn to win .... or something like that.

4. And Draper's involvement with the IFBB as the original California rep for Weider in the Santa Monica IFBB store.

And it would be interesting to see if the motion picture will include Robinson's initial opinion about Joe as well as Serge Nubret's regards concerning both Joe and Ben.

Most everyone in this game feels that Arnold owes his initial success to Joe and I personally believe that is 100% correct as Joe did a lot on Arnold's behalf when Arnold arrived in the USA.

It will be interesting to see how that is portrayed.

None of he actors shown above appear to look anything like the original characters ... except for  Calum who just might surprise us once this movie hits the silver screen.

There are many rumors ....

And the public enjoys hearing rumors more than true life occurrences  ... so it could be a factual, true-life flop or simply an embarrassing success  based on numerous rumors.

I hope Calum proves us all wrong and becomes a big Hollywood star.

Calum actually seems like a pretty decent guy. I've seen a number of his videos on Youtube and he is pretty level headed and modest.  And no doubt the guy is a great bodybuilder. Makes perfect sense to have him as Arnold.

can you blame him for not running on the coattails he sorta looks like arnold? has german last name? no!! he is making good money, he is one of the few bbers who makes solid money, travels the world, has new ladies all the time and appears to be in decent health, handsome with an accent, rides motorcycles while in SO CAL.  = winning
