I agree with that, however you have to love what you do. I work with some old timers who are very happy and could have retired years ago, yet continue to work because they are happy and working with young people in a young environment is keeping them young.

Great post.  Arnold's "job" [aside from memorizing dialogue, which I can see as being tedious] is basically to have various women swallow his sperm.  As you said, most on the board would be glad to trade places with him.

That's basically how Arnold feels about his "job".  Not to say he hasn't been a mover and a shaker all his life, and not to say he didn't work hard - clearly he did.  But probably for at least the past 30 or 35 years now, Arnold has basically enjoyed every step of it, without exception.  Prior to that, he had to do things he did not enjoy - such as the roofing job he did with Franco [although I heard he would rip people off while doing it], but for the longest time now, Arnold has definitely lived life on his own terms, so naturally he would want to continue.    But he is projecting a little, to think everyone else feels that way.

Stanley was in financial trouble after his wife divorced him, that's why he wanted to keep touring.  Gene will do anything for a buck.  He copyrights and trademarks everything.  I estimate Gene has $500 mil in the bank by now, easy.  These guys are getting old and I highly doubt they will be able to continue on much longer.
