Can you even drive something with 755 hp around on a public street without spinning out of control?

Would have been smarter to make a retro Stingray-styled Vette(like Dodge did with the Challenger) and then make up a name for a new mid-engined model that was ugly and nobody wanted.

most enthusiasts have been wanting a mid-engine vette for some time now....

My Honda Civic has 260,000 miles on it. Often went over 8k without oil changes too.

2019 Corvette ZR1 revealed in Dubai, India
https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/amp13517850/2019-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-release-date-specs-photos/

I test drove a vette on the 5 in California, almost s##t on myself when a rig went by.  Profile is too low.  It feels like everyone is going to drive over the top of you.  :-X

Mine 1997 Civic had 250,000 miles on it before I smashed it.  Lasted me 10 years with very little maintenance.  Great car.

New/fast cars are nice, but I would never buy one.  The depreciation and insurance are just too high.

im ok with this one, from 1958. it gets you to and back from the gym, enough space for a gymbag and proteinshakes and you can feel the wind in your hair, if you still got any.

I've seen people who have imported the Honda S660. It's a Kei car from Japan, and has 3 cylinder engine that makes about 65 hp. They are small and tiny. And every car looks like they would smash it.

Nice. And I bet you are sticking with an LS?

The older I get the most important thing in a car for me is reliability. I want a car that works. Some people waste a lot of money for that renting a new car every three years with a lease.  Do that for ten years and the money really adds up.  Someone bought up a Honda Civic.  Change the oil with synthetic and a Civic will run with zero problems for 200K plus miles. Had a friend with a BMW and he was going broke keeping the thing running.  Every repair was over $1000.

Next from reliability is comfort. How fast can you drive on the highway?  Most cars can do 100mph.  When was the last time you drove 100 MPH for over a mile?  I use to drive everyday over 100 mph but that was for work.  The thrill is gone and the fear is in now.  Give me a premium sound system. A nice smooth ride hugging the highway and premium seats so I can go on a long trip.  Yes, I'm old.

What enthusiast is that? One that can't afford a mid engine euro car?
