I respect your opinion on this, becuase I know you have associated with these types of men.
Do you have any opinions on what sort of person does this? Is it related to intelligence? (studies do support that notion). I read somewhere that it is related to being left handed (believe it or not) and certain types of "brain development" (which would connect to intelligence). I would certainly suspect a poorly formed moral psychology...
I take umbrage with the comment that you KNOW I have associated with these types of men because though no one can get through life without having some kind of contact or association with bad people I believe you mean in a pejorative sense because of the opinions regarding my character you have expressed in the past. You believe that you know I have association with bad people not because there are far more bad and evil in this world that it's inevitable but because I am in fact one of them and it's a birds of a feather type of thing. But in the spirit of goodwill and it is a very thought provoking question I will give my opinion.
I don't believe there is any relationship between intelligence and evil. There are horrible geniuses and angelic people of less than average cognitive abilities. I do believe that there is a small percentage that are simply born with certain characteristics as it pertains to morality. Some are just born with goodness in their hearts and others just born nasty. I believe the vast majority of a person's behavior is determined by a certain predisposition along with their environment and their experiences as they go through life. It is very important to note that goodness is not natural and needs to be taught. It is natural to be selfish and self-centered. To just take what you want. To be lazy. Give in to any impulse you have at the moment. Civilized and good behavior has to be taught. Even simple manners like using utensils, not urinating in public, wearing pants, has to be taught.
So upbringing is critical as your environment plays a huge role in what one thinks of as normal behavior. If you grew up in ancient Greece having sex with boys was considered normal or at least not a perversion. If you are a Palestinian hating Jews is just part of your culture. The more you normalize something the more you will get of it. That is one of the reasons why I wish I had more time to contribute to that gay thread started by rangerwill. I do believe their is a gay agenda. To normalize it to the point where it makes no difference when your son goes on his first date that he is hand in hand with a girl or hand and hand with a boy. I believe that there is a difference and one is better than the other and should be encouraged and promoted as the ideal. This is not a statement on a gay person's humanity. A gay can be a good person just as straights can be bad. It's just a statement on their sexuality and what is the ideal. It's just like saying it's better to have hearing than to be deaf and says nothing about a deaf person's humanity. That is a separate issue.
In addition to upbringing there is how one responds to experiences in life and what you ultimately believe in terms of the grand scheme of things. Is there a God and an afterlife where it really makes a transcendent difference how you lived your life and if you were a good person or bad? If a Hitler and a Mother Teresa share the same ultimate fate then why bother being good since it's so much harder and goes against much of our selfish nature. Few start out nasty but life is rough and you get kicked around a lot. Nice people get screwed over routinely. You get bitter and resentful. Some simply decide that they are just going over to the dark side. Even on this board someone like Josh states openly how he delights in seeing and causing others to suffer. Life didn't go the way he wanted or expected and making others suffer is how he expresses anger and resentment and feels a sense of fulfilment.
To specifically address your question, I don't know why or what causes attraction with some people. I find women from a certain race and ethnic backgrounds along with body type to be on balance more attractive than others. I do not belong or get or understand the very vocal "Mike Cox" faction and their fascination and attraction to huge booties. Just like when I look at other guys in the locker room and can't see or understand how any man can find anything sexually attractive in a another man. Men just seem more naturally piggish, crude and disgusting that I just don't get it.
Finding a prepubescent, and I want to stress that word "prepubescent" that I was so surprised so few here seem to understand or even knew its meaning, child perceived in a sexual manner is a particularly deviant perversion as it's a stage in life when a human is most innocent and it's such a fleeting and sacred stage and ow there can be anything sexual about a child. But I am not so much concerned what is in a person's heart or desire because I cannot reliably read minds, hearts and souls. What I can be sure of is a person's behavior and how it is treated and responded to in society. Like the gay agenda I see a disturbing trend in sexualizing children and normalizing it. True gays, those that not just engage in homosexual behavior but are actually sexually attracted to other males, is only a small percentage of the population. Anywhere from 2-4%. I believe pedophiles represent and even smaller population but, like gays, they seem to have achieved a disproportionate amount of influence in our society. I am not sure why but they seem to have disportionately risen to levels of influence and power that eludes the normal average Joe. Perhaps it's just another manifestation of the ongoing, and every going, battle between good and evil in this world.

Of course, I expect few to read this in it's totality, even you, but it's a good topic though perhaps not suited to this board but I do so for the sake of posterity and a place where I can express and document my beliefs on such a variety of topics that come up on this very unique board.
