Why were you speaking with Skip Lacour?
Great question, calfzilla!
To be honest, I had known of Skip for years - most on here have, I suspect. As to how Skip found me, he registered for my bodybuilding forum, when I used to run it - the website is called Bodybuilding Pro. I checked to see if it was actually him, and the IP address seemed suspicious - as in, it looked like it was a fake IP, not from his
mass machine. From there, I asked him on Facebook if it was really him, and he told me it was.
I then had the fortune of meeting Skip in person at the 2011 Mr. Olympia, and saw him at other expos after that. I believe I was 31 when I last saw him, so I'm guessing it was at the 2013 Mr. Olympia contest. I had the luxury of meeting the mother of his children at the 2011 Mr. Olympia expo, and he met mine as well!

From there, I lost touch somewhat, but not really. I still have Skip on Facebook, thus I follow along - I just didn't know what had happened to his supplement line on Bodybuilding.com. One thing is for sure - how many guys, juiced or otherwise, look as large as Skip did at 205? I thought I had read 5'10.5" and 210-lb on MuscleMayhem back in the day, but Skip himself told me 205. And would you believe his biceps here are 17"? Mine have been about 16.5" at my biggest, but it's just not the same thing. The photo of my is when my biceps were 16.5" - unfortunately it is a picture taken from the back. Either way, they look nothing like Skip's 17" arms.
The man has incredibly round and long muscle bellies - allowing him to look much heavier than he actually is.

To, I'm not even concerned about the steroids vs. natural debate about him, but how he looked so heavy at what ultimately amounted to only 205-lb.
