Good series, best and most adult of the Marvel ones. It is slow in parts, but it picks up, and is very even throughout the series. Emotionally, Bernthal is a good fit as Castle, although he could stand to be a bit more athletic looking. The Micro storyline is nicely done, and the character is likable, although I do kinda wish they went with the old dumpy Microchip that was familiar to the old comics. The rest of the cast is decent too.
One thing I don't like is the way they film a lot of the Marvel series. They look cheap when compared to the stuff HBO and Showtime put out. And they tend to film in a dark and brooding ham handed style that is
. We get it, you're going for that noir feeling, but you don't need to lay it on so thick all the time. If you've seen that Showtime show Quarry, that did Punisher style noir right. Also show nudity. If you can show a man getting his head crushed, some tits won't hurt anything.
Show is an 8.5 /10 in the Netflix Marvel universe. About the same in the world of comic book adaptions, maybe a tiny bit less.
