I can speak on this with experience.

I have owned 4 purebred pits. It's worth noting that a lot of attacks labeled as pits aren't even pits.

All pits have the capability for aggression. No getting around that. Many dog breeds are assholes. Pit bulls just kill dogs when they fuck them off.

Out of my 4, only one was incapable of getting along with outside dogs. Two of them needed supervision, one of them never had an ounce of aggression his whole life. 9 years without a growl, except when playing. The asshole killed many small animals like squirrels etc. attacked my other dog( other dog always provoked).

My current pit is a massive pussy.

Out of all my pits, none have EVER showed aggression towards humans. Terrible watch dogs, they're just too happy to see people.

They really are great pets, perfect blend of athletic capabilities without being Uber hyper. Perfect for my active lifestyle, but limited free time. They're very healthy, no weird predisposed cancer tendencies, hip probs etc.

Inexpensive, easy maintenance, not smart enough to try and escape yards.

I do see probs arise when the dogs get bred into 80+ LB monsters. A pit is 55-65 pounds. Inbreeding and mix breeding effects characteristics.

I see how people hate them, it's all good, I love mine. They have all been good with small kids, operate well with a walk a day and a small back yard.

Mainstream opinion says they're bad, but mainstream opinion also states the white man is evil.

IMO there's no room for pit bulls in any civilized society. I'm tired of hearing stories of dogs being killed and people injured - and in some cases killed. I knew a girl who got attacked by them. Her body was full of scars and she thought she's going to die but a stranger saved her. It was sickening to hear her story and look at the scar.

Every time it happens, the fucktard owners give the pathetic speech "he never hurt anyone, he's an angel". So fucking what, someone just got hurt right now. Makes just as much sense to defend a person who committed a murder for the first time, such as Stephen Paddock.

Solution is to eliminate dog breeds exceeding certain biting strength entirely, but I know it's not going to happen. There will always be an army of fucktards that demand legally owning one of these dogs. I guess they want to feel "badass" owning a dog like that.

These dogs were bred for one thing only, fighting, Be it other dogs or other animals, it’s a killing machine that doesn’t stop until the target is dead even then it keeps mauling as it’s too fucking dumb to realise it’s over. Since this practice was outlawed by the British Empire centuries ago there is no use for these dog breeds anymore. There are certain characteristics needed for a home pet, want company? Get a Pug.
