Nipped what in the bud? Germany was treated terribly after WWI. After the USSR murdered 20 million people in the peace period between the two world wars, what did people expect Germany to do? Meanwhile, only 5,000 people were murdered in Hitler's Germany. Yet somehow Germany was the bad guy?

Furthermore, the Allies insisted on war despite Hitler's repeated calls for peace, the last of which came after Germany captured France - France! And Hitler was STILL calling for peace.
But hey, when all was said and done, Germany and Italy lost the war, right? I mean, 65 million people dead, over which, under 10 million were German or Italian. Is that what is considered a "loss" these days?
