That study is, like most things from China, garbage. Extremely small sample size (n=8) for the follow-ups, self reporting of whether or not the men ejaculated, going into even smaller sample sizes (essentially n=1) when determining age and martial status influence, and not reporting whether or not participants were supplementing with legal or illegal enhancers (which may explain the enormous variance).
To compound this, the title of this topic is misleading. Even with all the questionable methodology, if there is a testosterone peak after abstinence, it is ONLY at 7 days. And the range in which it peaks is between 118% and 197%.
In other words, unless athletes are timing their last cum shots to be exactly 7 days before the game, this is all bro science.
