IGF-1 caused face aging
« on: December 01, 2017, 08:44:51 AM »
So its well enough known. A BB wins his pro card looking pretty decent, Golden Age look etc. Then jump on the procycles and the face ages 20 years in 3.

This documentary about 2/3rds of the way through discusses how a high protein, high calorie diet causes cells to reproduce rather than repair and IGF1 is the hormone that triggers it. This cell splitting and reproduction cycle can only happen so many times and leads to aging and ultimately death.

So there you have it, high calorie, high protein is not great for the aging process, albeit the high level of excercise and good overall diet of most BBers probably counterbalances some of this. However the pro cycle with massive protein, calories and IGF1 cant be healthy at all.

Documentary is worth an hour.

Heavy test usage probably plays a part as well.

Seems like anything that speeds the metabolism will increase aging, for the reasons you mentioned

I'm guessing a low calorie diet incorporating some type of fasting is the "secret" to a long healthy life

I've read multiple times that excessive calorie consumption will speed up the ageing process.  I think a small calorie surplus can have it's place, but as a general rule, over eating is terrible for you.  Drugs change the equation of course.  I remember a Jay Cutler video where he said he literally can't eat enough and he will wake up 10 pounds lighter than the night before.

Good, it worked well in his case.
He looked like a bitch, bird, substitute-teacher cream pie eating cuckold in his first pick.
-Then he became a muscular man...With a muscular face.

Most people aren’t used to seeing someone young having a lean face

I won my States as a teen - the slim face makes u look deathly or druggy - a lean fave to normal people is indicative of a health and/or narcotic problem and old men are usually the ones will low facial bf

Everyone would always tell me when I was bouncing I looked good for a show but the last couple weeks , aside from being extra cunty , they would tend to say shit like ‘you still dieting ?’ ‘How much weight are you trying to lose ?’  And always ‘you’re looking skinny’. All while having a suit on mind you

Epic lean face cuts are associated with old maness

What seems to be the problem?  ???  In the first pic, he looks like a cuckhold who eats cream pies.

Nothing new. It’s well known excess calories over the long haul generally shortens lifespan.

Add in the horrific drug and hormone abuse and ... there you have it.

But sounds to me like the consensus is that the things that speed us up kill us - cocaine, speed...maybe even caffeine in excess.  Opiates do the opposite, but of course everything comes with risk.  Lots of Carfentanyl bulk powder from China being used in fakes these days.  It's a new thing in Canada, and has resulted in at least eight deaths (that I read about).

Signaling through the insulin/IGF-1-like receptor pathway is a significant contributor to biological aging in many organisms. Cynthia Kenyon showed that mutations in the daf-2 gene double the lifespan of the roundworm, C. elegans.[17][18] Daf-2 encodes the worm's unified insulin/IGF-1-like receptor. Despite the impact of IGF1-like on C. elegans longevity, direct application to mammalian aging is not as clear as mammals lack dauer developmental stages. It is also inconsistent with evidence in humans.[19]
There are mixed reports that IGF-1 signaling modulates the aging process in humans and about whether the direction of its effect is positive or negative.
