More and more people begging for money

Just this past week...

 - A guy that works in the plant of the company I work at asking me a $50 payday loan.
 - Outside Wawa, people constantly begging for cash at the entrance of the place
 - Some guy at my local gas station with a stupid story about his pregnant wife and how he just lost his job.
 - At least 5 people begging/holding signs at intersections on my local city roads.
 - Walmart - there is always some dirt bag in the parking lot begging for money.  The broken down car story is getting a bit old.

Outside my grocery store there is always a rank Indian asking for change and rummaging through the trash cans.

There are ways out of such a predicament. So if one chooses to remain in such a state, there is likely substance or/and mental issues.

I cannot fathom the misery of being homeless. Especially when it’s sub-zero temperatures. Fuck that.

One time at a Greyhound bus terminal I bought a dude a sandwich and coffee. Told him it was me buying the food or no deal. Ain’t gonna give money only for it to be used to buy some hooch.

I stopped going to the ghetto 7-11 by my work because there's always someone there asking for money. Not the same people but some dudes aren't even polite about it. They're like ,"you got any change".

Just like that, like its a statement and their voice doesn't even go up at the end.
When I get that I just say ,"No". - maintain eye contact and keep walking.
If you don't ask politely I'm not going to even consider it much less reply politely.

Turns out that many of them (probably most) are total scammers

Before the local news broke the story about this group in Hayward I watched one of these scammers that was always outside the local Whole Foods walk around the block and get into a brand new minivan

Most of the panhandlers appear to come from the same Romani community in Hayward, and KPIX's observations suggest that their claims of poverty may not be entirely true:

It turns out the Kleenex crew isn’t as destitute as their 'help me' notes would make it seem. On several different nights we recognized half a dozen of them loading into a couple of Audis, a Mercedes and a Kia and counting their haul for the day.

As for the mothers, day after day like clockwork we watched them stream out of the Fremont parking lot pushing their strollers. We followed them to a residential development about a mile away, where rents for two-bedroom units list at $2,600 a month.

We have all that shit in the UK. Often at petrol stations you ll get some clown claiming hes ran out of fuel going to collect his parent from the airport and his debit card has been stolen and he just needs £20 to help him out.
