Do Republicans have any moral compass at all

Corker just flipped on the tax bill after swearing he would never vote for legislation that added a penny to the debt
Somehow he flipped over the weekend after the Corker Kickback was added.  Then he claimed to know nothing about it because, in his defense, he said he hadn't actually read the bill. http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/365284-corker-says-he-hasnt-read-tax-bill-after-saying-hed-vote-for-it-ib-times

Then when Corker had a tax expert explain it to him he said the the provision (which reduces taxes on pass through income) “sounds totally unnecessary and borderline ridiculous”

So did he demand it be taken out.

No, of course not because it's going to save people like him an Trump millions of dollars

Anyway,  now we've got 6 Repubs who only a few weeks ago were opposed to drilling in ANWAR now suddenly totally OK with it.   How does that work?

WASHINGTON — Less than three weeks after signing onto a letter opposing the latest GOP-led effort to open up 1.5 million acres of Alaska’s fragile Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas development, six House Republicans voted in favor of a tax bill that allows just that.

In a late November letter to congressional party leaders, GOP Reps. Dave Reichert (Wash.), Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Ryan Costello (Pa.), Patrick Meehan (Pa.), Mark Sanford (S.C.) and Carlos Curbelo (Fla.) ― and six of their colleagues ― said the refuge, also known as ANWR, “stands as a symbol of our nation’s strong and enduring natural legacy.”

“Any development footprint in the refuge stands to disrupt this fragile, critically important landscape,” the group wrote to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

To be fair, I've seen this before with democrats and the ACA. Here's how it works. If a vote is going to be close, you make the statement you can't support it. You wait for the phone calls to start with people asking you what you want in return for your vote. Eventually you work a deal out or you don't. This has been going on for decades.

And the polar bears are thriving.

Go live in a tent if you hate energy production so much.
