Having Trump as our President gives me pause to reconsider being an Atheist.  President Trump is that good and that much of what Christians would call a blessing.    Not since Reagan have I been this excited for America.  

In truth, I think he will surpass Reagan in some ways and I have doubt that the Great One would approve.

During a debate on one of those talking heads shows, someone representing the left made a very telling admission regarding trying to balance military power and deterrence. He said that Trump's personality is in itself a deterrence.

That was beautiful and so true. There is a new sheriff in town.

I was at one of the three Wal-Mart stores here in Thunder Bay, Canada.  They have a deal where you can get three magazines for $10 CDN.  In the USA, they probably have the same selection of magazines [if not more] priced at three for $5 USD.    I bought a couple of Archie comics to read to my kids, and I threw in a tabloid that featured a Trump story.

The male employee ringing my items through made a comment about Trump - nothing insulting, but something to the effect "He sure does have a lot to say", or something like that.  I responded by saying "Yes, he does.  It's amazing to me that he is 70, and still going to one speaking engagement after another after another...I'm 35 [at the time - this was in the spring] and I don't have the energy to do what he does."  The Wal-Mart employee responded: "Really, he's 70?  I'm 19, and I don't think I could do it either."

To answer the question as to how Trump is still holding up like this at 71, look at his family genetics.  His father almost made 94:

That implies that Trump will only make 90 at the oldest, but I think he can live longer than that.  I also think that he can make a second term.  Although that will depend on how many refugees are brought in...they will almost for sure vote Democrat, because illegal immigrants and refugees tend to be "progressive", according to Tim Wise.  In reality, it has NOTHING to do with being "progressive" - they disproportionately consume social services, so naturally, they tend to vote for the party that gives the most handouts.    Why wouldn't that be the case?

I only heard about the Huff post when someone posted a Twitter post from them on here where they showed it was only women working in their office (all white) and some guy replied 'You hate black people?' - from a shitrag that pushes diversity LOL. So I followed their FB.

Not true.  Hawaiians (especially transplanted Samoans or Samoan/Hawaiian mix are just about the most racist people I have met.  They hate white men but in true racist asshole fashion (and this goes for any color male racist) they love white women. They love all women.   And typical racist reason for that is given as "Gots to give 'em the good blood".  This is true of all male racists that I have met.

There are white and black men that hate Asian men but love Asian women. This is pretty much a trait for all racist pricks. Samoans in Samoa are generally nice but when they move to a place where they are considered GIGANTIC, they often turn asshole.  The only place they are not feared is quite possibly the NFL.

im not saying being a minority, which I am as a white in Hawai‘i, makes it fine for people here to act poorly towards me, but being a private person who does not make a scene at bars and such has resulted in zero problems from anybody.

My brother in law who was stationed here got beat up twice in six months. But he also killed himself after he was caught in bed with a 15 year old girl so you can imagine how he acted in general.

There were literal riots when Trump won last night. Now after the Trump tax bill, yesterday Bank of Hawaii, Hawaiian Bank and American savings all announced that they will raise their starting pay from $12/hr to $15/hr and giving all their employees (minus the top executives) numbering over two thousand employees each a $1,000 bonus with American savings giving $1,500. That's two million dollars.

Of course they say the banks were going to do this anyway. It had nothing to do with Trump's tax cut.

When I was in Maui this was so obvious.  You could feel that you were not really wanted there.  They just wanted your money.  It didn't really affect my vacation because I wasn't there to give two shits about locals.  I was more or less focused on spending time with my family and seeing sights, because I probably wouldn't go back again.  For the money you spend going to Hawaii you might as well go overseas or to Mexico or something.  It's cool to see, but you don't really need to go back once you've seen it in my opinion.

This is true.  Typically, the people who have problems are those who create or invite problems, regardless of ethnicity.  People from the mainland who bring some of their mainland bad habits will probably encounter problems. 

And there is no true ethnic majority in Hawaii.  Most diverse state in the country.

But the one party rule sucks.  I don’t think it will ever change.  It’s generational.  They occasionally get one right, like Tulsi Gabbard, but by and large there are some mediocre liberal ideologues in public office.  As ethnically diverse as the state is, it’s probably the least politically diverse state in the country.

Hawaii literally has the lowest unemployment rate in the country, LITERALLY. they also has the 10th highest median wage.
